Penetration

No, not that kind.

Not specifically anyway. I was thinking tonight that we all strive for experiences that really pierce us to the depths of who we are. Some people do this through risk-taking, some through emotional drama. What it is at the core of it though, is people wanting to be seen and appreciated, valued and loved for the person that they really are.

It's sad that so many people feel unappreciated, and alone. And yet, I think that if you can accept your own aloneness, you can be a better person to the ones in your life who you love.

Am I right here? Is that one of the goals of our lives, to find things that penetrate us to our souls? Emotions? Attitudes? Physicality?

I have been thinking that most people see themselves as different. As being hard to understand, or conversely easy to misunderstand. I also believe that we all do the very best that we can at any given time. Of course later on, we might come up with better decisions, or more options that we could have taken, but those were not in our brains when we made the decisions we did.

Penetration is about experiencing life. Experiencing the highs and lows and being affected by them. Feeling for a starving child, or an amazing sense of gratitude for the loved ones in your life. Getting to the heart of a person, or an emotion, or having someone find and pierce that heart inside of you.

Beauty in life that touches something so deep inside you, that you can't help but respond.

Emotions pierce and penetrate our hearts as do thoughts. The most beautiful, amazing moments in life are the ones where our shallow selves are torn away, and the inner beauty is pierced unforgettably.

Wishing you all such moments....

All best,

Rose
